After our trip to Den Haag Lisa and I were fascinated of the Netherlands. In Amsterdam I have already been many years ago with an old friend. So, now Lisa and I had to check this city out together 🙂
After searching the right car park and waiting felt like hours, so we sat down at the Canal of Amsterdam. I ordered some fries with mayonnaise and we studied the city map.
The first stop we did at the Body Worlds. It is an interactive exhibition with about 200 human bodies. “This one is focused on how happiness affects our health and is an amazing story that physically shows the link between our emotional and physical states.”, so Body Worlds on their HP.
As you can see there are some funny attractions for everyone. Besides taking a ride you are able to dance or watch some interesting movies about the human body. In fact, all these human bodies were very interesting to see. Get to know the way of the tendons and bloodstreams was a totally new experience and an important, but scary fact that we don’t want to show here… 🙂
You might know that we are both in love with Sushi. In nearly every destination we try this Japanese dishes. Smiling means it tastes good 😉
Amsterdam is well worth seeing. All these narrow streets in combination with the typical Dutch bricks makes is just an attraction. Moreover coffee shops and small restaurants characterize the city of Amsterdam. In addition to that Amsterdam has many independent studios where artists exhibit. All in all we have decided that one day is not enough time to discover Amsterdam. So, maybe we’ll meet at our next visit 🙂
IMPORTANT: Amsterdam is known for free soft drugs and coffee shops. That’s right, you can consume legal drugs. But especially in the evening around the Canal of Amsterdam and the Red Light district there are many drug dealer, who sell illegal and laced drugs. Try to avoid these persons and don’t let them starting conversation.
